Climate change coaching 1:1.
A styrofoam cup.
Actually, thousands of them!
That’s how my climate action journey began.
In 1990 when I was working for a global multinational company in Hong Kong I didn’t have scientific knowledge nor was anyone raising the red flag about the horrible effects of styrofoam. Still, I just knew the amount of garbage we were creating daily was not good for the planet. 800 employees X 4 styrofoam cups a day = 750K styrofoam cups a year. Enter internal disrupter and activist Darcy! I convinced the leadership team to buy every employee a coffee mug and to ban styrofoam cups, saving our company thousands of dollars a year and making a small, but significant impact in my part of the world.
Climate action has been part of my entire career.
I have worked as a sustainability consultant helping corporate clients craft their sustainability strategies, engaging employees around ESG education and initiatives, facilitated DEI and UN Global Compact workshops, and have created a careers in sustainability programme.
I volunteer my time supporting professionals seeking careers in sustainability at #opendoorclimate at Terra.Do, and ran a podcast for three years, women17, that focused on global women contributing to Sustainable Development Goals.
I am an Advisory Board Member at Catalyse Change, a UK charity that provides young women and non-binary change makers with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and connections they need to pursue sustainable careers.
My sustainability education includes certificates in Climate Change Coaching, Circulab Circular Economy, Corporate Social Responsibility, AXA Climate, The Natural Step, to name a few. So, now you know a little bit about me, now let’s focus on you…

Sustainability professionals- (re)connect with your purpose
Spinning plates. Lots of spinning plates.
Does this sound like you? A balancing act of keeping up-to-date on regulatory and compliance issues, ESG monitoring and reporting, stakeholder management, overseeing a swath of sustainability initiatives, employee, partner, and customer engagement, and being a change agent ensuring that sustainability is at the heart of all business decision making.
According to Forrester Research, to get all of this done, sustainability professionals need to possess over 16 characteristics; from storytelling, comfortable in chaos, singularly focused, engaging, and inclusive to name a few, and one that I would add- influencing.
Every job is a climate job.
And let’s not forget what drives sustainability professionals – a strong sense of mission and purpose, so it is no wonder we increasingly see a high level of burnout amongst sustainability and impact leaders.
You have to put on your oxygen mask before helping others…
As a climate change coach I can help you (re)connect with your purpose and motivation around climate action, manage overwhelm and work with uncertainty in the face of complexity, move from a limiting scarcity mindset to access more creative states and new perspectives, navigate and process the emotional landscape experienced when confronted with the realities of the climate crisis, and help you to manage your well-being so you can avoid burnout.
